Current 'Task text'

The thesis is based on the reprap consept. Reprap is a machine that is to reproduce as much as itself as possible, in other words to produce the parts it is made of. Reprap is based on the 3D printer principle where a polymer material is melted and extruded similar to a ink printer, but in three dimensions.
Some of the disadvantages with the reprap is the complexity in the extruder which gives an inaccurate result.
I will try to follow the same concept by building a CNC milling machine that uses a standard milling head. This might end in a simpler construction and increased precision.
Interesting problems are: to simplify the design and making it inexpensive to allow as many as possible to build the machine. Simplifications could be both on the control level and the control electronics (easily available electronic components), and on component level (easily manufactured parts)
